Consumers today areincreasingly adopting new products and technology that offer improved control, energy efficiency, reliability and convenience. An example of a connected home may include remote sensing in a home heating and cooling system to regulate temperature and humidity using artificial intelligence to understand the lifestyle and preferences of the occupants and automatically meet those preferences in the most energy efficient way possible. Alternately, it’s also possible to directly control key functions in your home from anywhere in the world through your smartphone.

In the future we expect the technology behind these ideas to become more complex and capable, but from a user standpoint, seamless, automated and easy to use. Imagine your alarm waking you at the right time, turning on your shower, and brewing a perfect cup of coffee, and optimizing your driving route to make your scheduled appointment on time. The hardware has been available for a long time, but only now is the software catching up to make these types of scenarios possible.

As the world evolves with this new wave of smart technology, experts predict that by 2020 the number of IoT devices that are active and connected will reach 10 billion and to a further 22 billion by 2015.

Depending on the complexity of the process, we deploy a range of methodologies to manufacture our products – from robots and fully automated assembly lines to small cells with skilled operators for those highly complex, lower volume products. Sensor enabled IoT devices are used for quality control, reduction of workplace injuries and efficiency improvements.
